Duck Dynasty’s Jep and Jessica Robertson are starting off 2016 with an adoption announcement — just like Willie Robertson and his wife Korie!
The dynasty is really growing, y’all!
The happy couple introduced their new son Jules Augustus on Wednesday night’s premiere of the A+E spin-off Jep and Jessica — which is set to run for eight episodes and will document their adoption journey.
The 35-year-old momma shared:
“It’s like such a surreal moment, to finally have him in our arms. We waited so long and wanted to happen for so many years, so to actually have him and hold him and know he’s actually ours and we’re his forever family, we’re excited.”
In an interview with Country Rebel, she added:
“The past few years with Duck Dynasty, our eyes have been opened and we’ve seen a lot of kids that are in need. Knowing that we can make a difference and take a child in that maybe would never have a mommy or daddy, you’re changing a child’s life forever. And he’s going to change our life forever.”
Baby Jules (named after Jep’s real first name) joins siblings Merritt, Lily, Priscilla, and River.
The 37-year-old hunting equipment mogul took to Twitter after the show to thank fans for their support and share a cute snap with the new addition. He penned:
“Thanks for the love! This has been a crazy, awesome ride but so worth it! Me and Gus signing out! #JepAndJessica”
So sweet! We love little Jules’ nickname!
